Maru was born in a small village in Java, Indoensia. Inspired by the magnetic Indonesian culture, the extraordinary fabrics, intricate patterns and craftsmanship, Nancy began creating pieces that brought the vibrancy of Indonesian textiles into everyday life back home in London.

But Maru is just as much a product of London - A city of contrasts, where glamour meets grit, old-world elegance meets unapologetic hedonism, and nights can be as seductive as they are unpredictable.

What started with a small collection of kimonos has grown into a much-loved loungewear brand, with Maru pieces now found in homes and boutique hotels around the world.
